Couple of new sets

These were for a jewelry party that I was trying to put together before the holidays and  it never happened.  I am the worlds largest procrastinator, which I probably should not be divulging, but hey it's real so gotta keepitreal.  The pieces I am promoting today are similar in that I am introducing a bit of color.  The multicolor set is made with turquoise beads, red coral, carved wood beads and is finished off with a magnetic clasp.  the red and orange pendant set is made with bamboo pendant in my original abstract artwork.  The large sono wood beads add a bit of drama, accompanied by red coral as well and horn beads.  Keepin it natural with some touches of color.  Each set is priced at only $25 and is a one of a kind. thanks for looking.

Got Some Shots Today!

Hello,  to all my fans!  Yo here and I am posting to let you all know what's up with the jewelry line and how it is evolving.  Seems like when I get into the workshop and start working things just magically happen.  Intending to start working in one direction suddenly takes on a new life and ideas begin to develop.  A new line is born.  It's so hard to focus my efforts in producing one particular style because my ADD flares up and I get off track.  Too many irons in the fire.   So anyhow............this is what I have been making lately.  I bought these off white seed beads.  They resemble pearl or shell.  They are tiny, expensive, and beautiful.  When the light catches them the shimmer is brilliant.   I was able to make several necklace/earring sets, but unfortunately the photos are not able to capture the bling.  These necklaces are long but can easily be doubled.  Enjoy!  Luv Yo!

Ha!  I made my first sale on Etsy today.  And it wasn't even jewelry.  I have this vintage fabric with psychedelic trees of different colors all over it.  I listed it and then this girl from Japan inquired about the shipping and before the post office could open on monday, I get another message from Etsy and someone in Oregon has already bought it.  Trippy!  Maybe I should go through all of my fabric.  Funny

Gallery of past work:)

Hello, just wanted to share some of my work from the past.  Many of these pieces of jewelry I no longer
have.  If anyone is interested I am able to re-create a piece to your liking.  I use a lot of cowrie shells, wood, bone beads, tiger eye, shell and cord.  My prices for earrings are very reasonable. It varies acording to size and the materials used, not to mention how much time it takes to re-create.  Some of the pieces I make are more labor intensive than others.  Enjoy............and as always   Luv Yo!

P.S. Currently preparing for upcoming Jewelry parties and gearing/stocking up for the holiday season, so please be patient. Thanx

Three Green Glass Stars

Today I took a picture of a pair of earrings that I made the other night. Was intending to have a mini photo shoot with my
daughter as the model, but after one shot the battery died. So as you can see I don't use bamboo exclusively. I like beads and other things I just don't limit myself to beads only. These green seed beads are graced with the presence of three green glass star beads in a popular hoop form. They are cute and simple and are a great accessory for everyday casual wear. Although my initial suspicion is that they have an extremely overt youthfulness I don't limit myself so why should you. So many variations can be achieved with the use of hoops and beads, so if you like these let me know. These are easy to make if you are a do it yourself girl like me. I used memory wire for the hoop, but be creative with the beading.
Peace- I'm Out!   Luv Yo!

Ok, this is the first blog I thought I lost

Hello all,

I am new here and I wanted to introduce myself to the world of blog and to the jewelry community. I love making earrings. I also make necklaces, bracelets, wrist cuffs, & hair accessories. I am completely self taught. My niche is bamboo. I fell in love with the material because it is easy to work with and I wanted to promote the beauty of nature and sustainable resources. I am not a blingy type of chick. My style is comfortable casual with a little earth mother flair. Feel free to comment or give feedback. As a creator of wearable art, I thrive on feedback. I will try to keep you up dated on what is new and what Iam working on. It varies from day to day. I will get an idea for something and will have to go and try it out. My work shows a great deal of individualism and creativity. Many of the pieces I make I have never seen anything like it. I think outside of the box and create what I feel. Many collections could be categorized as Random Spontinaety. I utilize many found or reclaimed materials. I incorporate sea shell fragments, that I find on the beach, into my jewelry. If it can be found in nature or has a natural look I will find a way to manipulate it into a unique piece of jewelry. Currently I am sanding lots of large and small ovals for earrings and necklaces. they require a lot of sanding which is time consuming but I love it and it does not feel like work at all. Until next time. Luv Yo!

Our Introduction

First of all let me say hello to all of you out there in blogerspace! I am new here and this is my first blog and my first post. I am interested in sharing my jewelry making adventures. I wrote this long intro and gave some information about me and what I make, but in true new blogbie form I erased it somehow, so I am doing it again here at 2:48 in the am. So, what I was saying before I so rudely interrupted myself is that I am a jewelry designer. I am completely self taught, but I don't do any silversmithing or anything like that. My thing is bamboo. I know you are probably asking yourself, "what does she mean bamboo?" I love all things Bamboo. It is a natural, Eco friendly, green material that is beautiful and easy to work with. I also have an interest in woodworking, among other things, so it is really right up my alley. I also use beads, preferably glass or ceramic ( I love the use of natural materials). I find sea shell fragments on the beach which I use in my jewelry. I reclaim beads and things from other objects. It is a real challenge to create something totally different from what it used to be. The jewelry above is made with bamboo. It is a necklace and earring set dyed red with India ink. There is a sunburst batik pattern that I designed and the necklace is cotton cord dyed red. What I have been working on lately is bamboo ovals that have to be sanded a lot so it takes up a lot of time. I love it though, and it really doesn't feel like work. Hope you enjoy. I must go now but I won't say goodbye, but Until Then.......Luv Yo!
